Artery
A 1980s villa, ground floor. All existing partitions removed, the space opened, unfolded, made legible. What remains becomes structural: the central staircase, now the organizing spine of the project.
Around it, a wooden core absorbs all service and storage functions, clearing the main space of superfluous elements. Circulation becomes continuous, a quiet loop connecting the living areas without hierarchy or interruption.
Certain elements of the thermal envelope are replaced to meet current standards, but the identity of the building is preserved. The intervention leaves no visible scar. It reveals what was already there.
